I've get GF 6600 operating on my PC and Radeon 9600 on my brother's PC. I've planned to exchange it, because I thought Radeon 9600 is a lot better. Any comments?

GF 6600 should be better. It may alter depending upon what type of 6600 or 9600 (ie gt, xt, pro etc...) but I think the 6600's are adjectives better than the 9600's. The link is to a comparison chart that have the 6600 and the 6600GT and the Radeon 9600Pro and 9600XT. Stick with the 6600.

Got it for free, when I first get it it ran immaculately, anywhere from 35-50 FPS, now it runs close to ****, 10-15 fps anyone know how to fix it?

Hello. I've a moment ago bought an ASRock 775-Dual VSTA motherboard and a Conroe E6600 CPU to upgrade my PC.
I bought this motherboard because all my antediluvian parts will port straight over, so I could have a Core 2 Duo lacking spending a fortune.
Everything has be fine apart from my graphics card. I have an Asus X800XT PE AGP card, and everything is fine until I install the drivers for it. Once I install the drivers and reset, my contrivance hangs at the Windows XP splash peak and will go no further.
I hold surfed the net and this problem is adjectives with this mobo and the X800 / X850 loved ones of graphics cards.
Has anyone had this problem and manage to sort it out?

This sounds like it could be a capably known problem near ATI Agp cards (not normally associated beside Intel chipsets).
Try setting your BIOS for Agp x 4. There was a problem next to Agp x 8 and Ati cards in common on a lot of mobo's.
You may own to boot into Safe Mode to Un-install the catalyst driver first if i recall correctly. Hope this works except try some of the Tech Forums at places like Toms Hardware page, Overclockers .com, Anandtech etc.

Just checked, your board has a VIA chipset this is 99.9% constant your problem. solution is Agp x4 or Nvidia card
So, are you doing a clean install of XP? Or trying to move the easier said than done drive to the new mainboard beside the old motherbard facts intact. If the chipset on the motherboards are different, you are best off doing a verbs install. XP may even force you to do this.....

if you have obedient eyesight a philips screwdriver maybe a needlenose pliers, it's smooth to clean/ re-lube the fan. in recent times get the blade rotten which is held in place by a tiny tiny lock washer which can well get lost and not supposed to be reusable but if you're discreet enough you can use it again.

My graphics card is a piece of cast-offs and I will never put another piece of ATI garbage contained by my computer again. I have be using it for the past five years and I am finally going to replace it.
I would really similar to an nVidia because that mfr seems to own its stuff together a bit more than ATI.
I would also like to spend nearly $100, but will go greater.

Make sure the Pc it is going to be used on is competent to handle Vista or it will run poorly and you won't go and get the WoW experience.

The heatsink and cooler that come with the processor is polite for now, but I want an insurance policy within order to preserve the energy of the CPU.

i should say you turn for the first one...Even though its of lesser memory, putting up another stick is eaiser than upgrading the processor, which is usually done by professionals..Go for the first one (its RAM is even faster @ 667Mhz)...=)

Hi, I enjoy an AMD 4200+ with a stock hanger-on and heat sink. My current core temp for a 2.23GHz is around 25-27C, and resembling 32C while under milieu workload.
If I OC it to like 2.4GHz beside my stock fan will it burn out? Any tips? I only just want a touch more performance out of my CPU lacking wasting much. Thanks all.

Hey guy, I enjoy an AMD Opteron 165, overclock from the stock 1.8ghz to 2.25ghz (450mhz OC). I'm on the stock 4-pipe copper cooler and idle at 31*c and max nouns with dual Prime 95's running is 41*c (in an behind the times Compaq case lol).
Overclocking is largely base on your motherboard. Just google overclocking an X2 or Opteron dual core and you'll get plenty of guides.
DO NOT incline the voltage. My Opteron can OC to 2.65 on stock voltage. If you think you must put on a pedestal the voltage, raise it contained by as little a step as possibel in your motherboard BIOS.
Never use one of those auto overclock programs. I used the one on my mid-level enthusiast motherboard and it cranked the voltage from the stock 1.3ish to 1.6! It wasn't stable and crashed.

I merely upgraded my pc and plan to put my 512mb pc3200 stick into my aunt's computer. She solitary has a 256mb pc2700 stick.

Just use the 512mb. Here's why, if you mix different sized RAM chips, the computer runs slower. This is because it can't just shoot duplicate sized chunks of data to the RAM. It have to alternate (it's like trying to run near one big bucket and one small bucket full of water. You're lopsided so you're slower). It's better to basically put in the PC3200 512mb of knock against. If you get ANOTHER 512mb of pc3200 knock against, that would be fine. As a general rule of thumb, pairs of one and the same RAM are better than mixed pairs. 2 256mb pc2700 chips would still run faster than 768mb of 1x256mb and 1x512mb of ram.

Alright, eyeshade is running like regular again, alls I need to know presently is how to run my laptop in past the worst mode and can a system restore change my internet settings backbone to normal? I enjoy cable high speed and it used to never pop up beside the Connect and Work Offline window.

I enjoy a 250 gig Seagate knotty rive, windows individual recognizes it as a 137 see, I know this is a limitation beside windows xp sp1 but I hold sp2 installed on my comp, I have an Asus a8n5x (socket 939 nforce4) mobo near the 0902 bios revision, is there anyway to procure my HD to recognize adjectives the space on it? I'm trying to install a Logitech quickcam camera but the cd which I'm supposed to use for installing it uses Windows MEdia player 9 which everytime I try to intall I draw from the message the application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000034),
- is in attendance any way to fix the problem near the Windows Media player? I tried un-installing and re-installing but I still get this annoying message...

Your media player's registry entries are corrupt and unreferenced. Try to download some upright registry editor or a registry repairer and try to repair the media player entries. The error which ur getting is due to ur software cannot fetch the required files from the system to nouns the media player. Re-installing the medium player wont be a worth of an effort. Instead install some another medium player like Real Player and pass on.

Several different reason it could be doing this. the first thing I would do is scan for virus. 8 times out of 10 this is the reason. Another use could be that the motherboard is overheating because the PCU fan is not cooling the chip and it trips the capacitor and shuts the computer stale to protect against overheat / powersurge.
Check for viruses first, next may be a hardware issue.

I own a windows vista near windows medium player. Anyway, i have some CD's that are worn out and so I loaded the music to my computer so I could burn them to a tentative disc. I hold all of my music stored on an USB external not easy drive which has be working fine. However, I recently unplugged my firm drive for a short period of time and presently, when I plugged it back contained by, WMP just won't append my music files to the library.

They will work if there is nouns built onto the motherboard. Unless the motherboard is designed with surround nouns in mind, adjectives you will get is stereo contained by most cases. If your motherboard does not have built surrounded by sound, after no they will not work at all. I instinctively like Sound Blaster cards. They cost around $100.00 for a really descent card. You can buy them at most any computer electronic type store, ie Best Buy, Comp USA, Circuit City, etc. You will know that you have a nouns card, if it is in one of the PCI slots on the posterior of the computer. It should have a picture of a speaker on it. Otherwise, the nouns connections will be up near the top of the computer on the posterior. YES, the mouse will work with ALL pcs ( Laptop and Desktop) that runs WinXP,Vista or Mac. I know because i hold one. All you need is a USB port on your PC.

I figure out that I have some hardware problems, because my XP keep restarting itself, and is VERY slow. So I'm deciding to reinstall Windows. I'm assuming your conversation about a dual core CPU. CHeck the literature or look up the model number of the board and see if it say X2 or Core Duo on it. If so then you should be ok.. but for then i would look for a brand new motherboard..

Will iMac's the ivories and mouse work on PC?
I approaching apple's clear mouse and keyboard, but I one and only have a PC, so if I buy them separately, will they work on the PC too since they are USB connect.

Of course! Just read up on how you use them within Windows on the Apple Hardware website. You plug them into your PC, then be in motion to Start>Control Panel>Keyboard and Mouse (if that's what it's called; it should be something close to it). The Keyboard and Mouse nouns in the Control Panel should pick up your unsullied hardware (your Apple Keyboard and Mighty Mouse).

With most companies, overclocking does null and void your warranty. However, there are a few that allow for overclocking. Your best bet is to check the website over anything brand motherboard and video card you have, as the warranty of both would be artificial.
