I simply got a alien mobo from a friend, but it doesn't include any of the connectors backplate or CD software drivers. Does anyone know where on earth I might be able to pick some up?

Best hit and miss is to go on Ebay and look for someone selling the Driver compact disc and the acessories. I had to do this for my refurbished ASUS A8N32-SLI mobo. The other leeway for the drivers is to go to ASUS's support page and download the most up-to-date drivers for your board and burn them to a CD-R.
