Ok so I want this new processor and adjectives of its specs match my mother board except for one.. the L1 cache. In my users brochure it says 8KB first-level and the cpu iam looking at say L1cache 12+8kb so would this cpu work or would i have to win something that says simply 8kb L1 cache??
basically i bent the pins on my frail cpu and if the one iam looking at wont work i will just attain the exact same one i had befor however psyche rather hold this one because it is 2.8ghz instead of 2.6 lol all the other specs math tho so thanxs much

Will this cpu work near my mother board?
Yeah it should work, you can other ask the specialist at the store. They usually know those kinds of things. I would hold done it. I just just now changed my processor and I don't know if all the specs matched, but I bought an matured one at tiger direct.
Your motherboard should support socket 478 and the L1 and L2 caches enjoy nothing to do on how it will run surrounded by your pc.
As long as your motherboard supports the CPU you should be fine the better the L1 and L2 caches are the better the ceremony.
L1 and L2 cache size has zilch to do with it.
Socket number i.e. Socket 939 have everything to do with it. You must find out what sockket type your motherboard is and find a corresponding CPU. ALso you'll necessitate to see if your motherboard supports dual core chips if that's what you're wanting to buy. If it does then it will read out X2 for AMD and core duo for intel.
