Will the 533mhz fsb processor work on the eMachines t1840?
The motherboard for the t1840 runs at 400Mhz FSB.
Which essentially method 4 x 100, quad-pumped.
If you install the 533mhz it will be expecting to see a FSB of 533, 4 x 133.
Instead it will see the 400Mhz and actually lower the speed of the CPU. (underclock)
If you are looking for more power, I would suggest getting a unusual motherboard/CPU combo. (The t1840 does not have a upright board)
