I lost the usb cable to my scanner so I bought a unmarked one and its not working??? The antiquated one worked fine but the new one isnt doing anything at adjectives.Help!

restart your computer. when window boots again, it should detect your scaner.
It might be the wrong kind of cable.
possibly you bought the wrong kind or something
