Why my 500G strong drive lone read 130G AFTER INSTALL?

I put together a desktop notebook, everything worked fine and got to window. but only 130 is man used compare to 500GIGS. in BIOS HD is individual recognized 130gig????

Why my 500G strong drive lone read 130G AFTER INSTALL?

Service Pack 2, or if you're using an Intel-based knotty drive controller, install the Intel Application Accelerator.
By itself, windows will not spot drives larger than 130 GBs. Your hard drive businesswoman should have some caring of download that will unlock the rest of the drive. For example, Maxtor calls theirs big drive enabler. This tool allows window to see the entire hard drive.
you have need of to install service pack 2, once that is done your computer will certify any size hard drive and show your 500 as a 500, resourcefully, it'll only be in the order of a 430 because windows doesn't show the full amount, but thats as close to 500 as you'll see.
I have the same problem.

Use SP2
i agree, you stipulation sp2 on the disc to see more than 130 gb, this happened to me, i used a friends disc to format it and next put my disc in to nouns windows and it worked
